The figure looked at Foodie, seeming to hesitate. "Call me Lightning, I guess. Originally, I was from another dimension. I've been a few places, but not this one." He replied, shrugging casually. The angel blinked at him. "Not... too surprising, I guess. I've had my share of multi-dimensional friends. If that makes sense." She mumbled, her eyes averting back to the sunset. Sensing something was up, Lightning's tail twitched. "Are you alright? You seem a bit... Lost in thought, if I'm quite honest with you." He stated, not uncaringly. Despite the fact that they had only just met one another, the male seemed particularly worried about her. Falling silent for a moment, Foodie hesitated. Could she really trust him? "It's... a long story. To put it lightly, my... brother in law, in a sense? He died not too long ago, and my sister... She's snapped due to the situation. And nearly attacked.. one of the people that's really close to me. Who was a brother to the one that died." Lightning raised an eyebrow, taken aback by the angel's answer. "Sheesh. Sounds like ab absolute mess." Foodie sighed quietly, her eyes moving down to examine the male's tail. "...Yeah. That's one way to say it. It is pretty messy." ~~~ A few weeks - or so - later ~~~ Ally folded their arms, gazing at her e× blankly. The fallen angel's back was turned to her, and she was looking out to the sky. The demon shook their head. "Are you sure you're serious about leaving? Your mentality hasn't improved in the slightest." They snorted. The rebellious angel hesitated for a moment before answering. "Yeah, I'm sure. I'm glad that I've.. helped you out with most of your issues. You weren't in the greatest state in the beginning, either." Rue finally replied, turning to look at Ally. They just shrugged, nonplussed. "Whether you're glad about it or not, I couldn't really care too much. The company I spent with you was... Different. Compared to what I'm used to." Alastor muttered, tilting her head to the side faintly. Rue only sighed. "I know, and I know you don't really care too much. But I do." There was silence then, and the two genderfluid figures looked at each other silently. "I'll have to come and see you more. Spending time with you was honestly... Nice." Ruella said finally, being nothing but honest with her e×. "Yeah, whatever. Just don't be surprised if you do turn up and see me doing the most random thing ever." Ally said casually, a thin smirk forming on their lips. The fallen angel fought the urge to roll her eyes. "I'll keep that in mind. Like I always have. I'll see you around, Ally." With that, Rue turned her back to Ally once again, opening a portal. The demon observed wordlessly, pursing their lips together as they watched Rue step through the portal, then fade completely from their view. ~~~ Meanwhile ~~~ "It's not my fault that you're a Nexus from this dimension. I've had my share of versions from you, in other dimensions, and they were ugly. In more than one way." Lightning said blandly, staring at Nexus with a bored facial expression. The gay emo rolled his eyes. "I could only imagine how ugly you've seen then. I bet I'm the one that's the most laid back ones." He replied, folding his arms against his chestplate. The other male just shrugged. "Honestly, I just don't like you in general. Especially how you were after Solar died." Mercury stepped forward, their rays twitching irritably as they glared at Lightning. "Well poor little you! We never asked for your opinion," the gay argued. Lightning looked at Mercury blankly, his tail part opening and closing at a low speed; mimicking Merc wordlessly. Mercury gritted his teeth as anger burned in his eyes, but Nexus' hands gripped their arms from behind, holding his partner back from Lightning. Just in case that he would decide to do something stupid, like lunge at him. Of course, that was likely. What else was there to suspect? "Mercury, calm down," Eclipse sighed, stepping between the two males. Merc just stared at the burnt pansexual goof with annoyance, his rays twitching further. "You have no control over me, so it's a waste of time with you being in the middle, trying to ease this out. You're just making it worse, if anything." He snarled. "Guys, for Heaven's sake- stop arguing!" Foodie snapped, walking downstairs; the angel had been heading to get a drink since she had been upstairs. Silence fell into the room, and Mercury slowly turned to look at his sister. "Fine. For your sake. But I wouldn't do it for anyone else, though. Besides Nexus." Merc spat, clenching his jaw in increasing annoyance. Lightning rolled his eyes, grimacing as he fought the urge to mimic them with his tail once again. "Let's go home, alright?" Nexus muttered, giving Foodie an apologetic glance as he spoke. The angel silently shook her head; dismissing him but thankful. "It's fine. I'll see you both later on, I guess." Foodie mumbled. It had been a month since Rue had left the house. (+)
Yet things hadn't really gotten much better, even now. The tension in the household? If anything, it had gotten stronger. Not any weaker, in the slightest. ~~~ Meanwhile, with the gays ~~~ Mercury folded his arms, looking at Nexus with a scowl. "I hate it when people judge you, in the slightest. I don't care whether it was Lightning's opinion on you or not. I'm not a huge fan of him." They protested, his scowl etched deep into his faceplate. The tall, gay emo-themed animatronic exhaled slowly, closing his eyes. "I know... I'm still not really used to him, either. At least it isn't another situation like Quinn." Nexus muttered, running a hand through the fluff of his nightcap. Even if he didn't have hair - of course - it felt close enough to it. At the mentioning of the demonic angel, Mercury's eyes darkened with quiet fury. "He's lucky that I haven't got a hold of him yet. Trust me, we might as well deal with him at this point." The male growled, clenching his jaw. Nexus stretched, leaning his back against the wall. His lips formed into a grimace. "The storm's coming, between him and Rue. I can practically see the clouds." He muttered, taking off and examining his goggles. As if they had summoned someone, a portal suddenly opened, in the middle of Merc and Nexus. Suspicious, Merc stepped back, their eyebrows narrowing as he and his partner watched for a sign of their arch nemesis. No one had still entered into their bedroom of their house; that was where the two gays were. Both relieving and taking the duo aback, Rue stepped out of it, the portal closing behind her automatically. Nexus' shoulders relaxed, and her brother's eyes flickered up and down Ruella's figure. "Hey. How've you been?" They asked, fidgeting with his rays faintly as they spoke. His sister remained silent for a moment, before she answered. "It's been... alright, to be particularly honest. I've been helping Ally with their... issues. It was fine." Rue replied, her purple and red tail curling around one of her legs. Her pupils then flicked between her two brother figures. "What were you two talking about, before I walked in? Seeing clouds?" Nexus and Merc shared a look. Rue seemed better than how they last saw her; Nexus was unsure of her emotions. "We were talking about the one who should be buried up in Heaven." Mercury answered. Rue's tail then moved from her leg, swaying side to side. "Merc, you reckon it's time for his special day?" Mercury smirked. "It's time." ~~
