~The Denial of a Daughter~ A Snowspeck grieving srp Tw: mentions of death, grief —————————————————————————— Snowspeck smiled brightly. Gave the kits of Iceclan her loving attention. Made a flower crown with her brother. Pranced in the snow with her friend. Her life is perfect And yet... Something gnawed at her insides. It writhed in her chest; encased in some sort of prison. But it's razor sharp jaws scraped painfully away and scratched the walls thinner and thinner. And then the doubts began to rise in her mind /When/ had she last seen Leopardlark? It felt like moons had passed /Was/ her mother avoiding her or.... Was she Gone /Why/ would Sil's heart feel so heavy and hollow? She couldn't accept the truth Alongside the doubts, rose the excuses. Desperate words laced with false cheer and confidence. They spun around in her head; the sweetness of their voices made her sick. But still she kept listening. Leo was just busy! She had more important things to do than visit Snow! She had never really been one for interacting with her children! But while her face smiled, the thing inside of her was relentless in its misery. Leopardlark's scent was stale. Her nest was cold. No- her nest was gone. Taken over by a warrior who needed the space. But where could she have gone? Why would she leave? Then one day Snow felt that something inside of her snap The prison walls crumbled Leopardlark Her mother Was dead Snowspeck couldn't breathe. Couldn't think. Couldn't silence the storm inside. So instead she smiled brighter. Gave more of her loving attention to the kits of Iceclan. Made more flower crowns. Pranced with more joy in the snow with her friend. Because her life was perfect Why wouldn't it be?
((Leo didn't suffer an inactivity death btw the timing is just coincidence)) Hi so Snow is now experiencing absent grief/avoidance and denial of her mother's death. For anyone roleplaying with her she will have bigger mood swings and often jump from extremely happy to irritated, frustrated, angry or annoyed and back again. In general she's going to be a bit more reckless and might start a few fights. Anyway this is how she will react to most tragic events and it really fits with her personality because snow doesn't want to accept the darkness in the world. She wants to believe that everything is in fact cupcakes and rainbows. And the death of Leo doesn't fit in with that world she invented.
