The First Republic of Kurdistan came the deaths of many people during the try for Independence against its occupiers in the Middle East. The nation had lost many good men during its fight for independence as over 50 thousand lives were lost. The fighting started in Turkey as Kurds tried to gain independence in the south East region of the nation. Soon the rebellion moved to Iraq and Iran, finally Syria. The Kurdistan Liberation Army was formed to fight off the enemy as the protest grew violent. The KLA used the mountains to gain the upper hand by using Gorilla tactics to fight off the enemy. They would set traps and other things to try and slow down the enemy during the fighting. Paths would be rigid with land mines and other explosives to try and prevent the enemy from advancing with armored vehicles and other heavy equipment. As they would also set up Machine Gun nests in the mountains to try and deal damage to advancing troops. Trucks and other vehicles would be lightly armored with steel sheets and other metals to try and make them like tanks. This would be somewhat effective as they would help us move faster but a normal soldier so this was a problem that we would struggle with during the fighting. KLA forces would manage to use key roads in the mountains to set up Checkpoints letting supplies to move farther and faster during the fighting. This would help the KLA capture key battles of Euphrates river. This would see heavy casualties but victory. As a few more months of fighting victory would be held as Iran surrendered first, followed by Syria, then Iraq, and finally after a few more weeks of fighting Turkey would surrender. This would finally see a free Kurdistan state and the formation of the First Republic of Kurdistan. After this the president of the nation would go to fort Qal'at al-Jaludi. This is where the largest battle of the Euphrates river where over 45.7k men died over the Iraq controlled fort. He held a speech that day. “This very soil that we are standing on is where our brothers, fathers, and sons were just at. Over 40 thousand young men lost their lives to give us freedom. They wanted to help us gain freedom. Bullets were flying through this very air. They didn’t deserve to die but they wanted to, for us and our rights. Thank you and good bye.”
