same character i drew here. https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1280233551/ i was doing a redraw of it here. is it better? i think so, yeah. colors are a little better and i think the shadows have more form to them. also i like his expression here more. i made him look a lot more happy this was veryy hard to render for some reason. nothing i did came out looking right. i went through like 4 separate attempts at rendering this before landing on the current one.. i think it looks a little washed out, id like to add in more color but when the character itself is like a desaturated blue-ish color and the shirt is white, im not sure where you would be able to add in color. i added in some minor hue variation in the midtones, but when you do that it can start to look very muddy and the values can get out of control.. its just a mess if i had a good lighting reference for this itd probably be a lot better. i know that i need to push my values further to get the effect i want, and yet.. whenever i do that, it looks very messy, and then i need to add more midtones to blend it together, which makes it look muddy, idk... its hard
