TW for mentions of cat getting struck by lightning, and grief. *Carambolabloom had been padding through a harsh storm, carrying some prey. She hadn't wanted to go out in this harsh weather, no, but she still had to feed her kits. She could've stayed the night in a cave. Could've waited the storm out, took shelter from the storm, but she knew they wouldn't be able to help themselves, not yet. She hadn't been able to teach them how to hunt properly. Maybe she hadn't been the right cat to adopt those poor little kits. Those poor kits, a parentless trio all on their own, no cat there to care for them, the 3 who had now grown up and yet despite raising them to adulthood, she still felt as though she had done something wrong. Her pelt was soaked with water, fur drooping in the miserable wet weather. As she trudged through the muddy ground, paws leaving indentations in the muck, the depressing weather made her think. About her friends. Her enemies. Her siblings. Not many were left. How many were there anyways? Hm. She thought for a moment. Irisembrace. Laeliaflight. Cattailhum, and countless other allies she had made a long the way, lost to starvation, predators, and other such fatal things. Her enemies. The three cats who had ever bothered her. Happyvoyage. Immortellespark. Harebelltumbleweed. She couldn't help but feel a bit of a grim satisfaction outliving them all, though she still regretted that she had been so impulsive as to attack the last one. And her siblings. Durianfall, and Pitayaleaf... they had starved, hadn't they? It all made her feel so terrible. Jessaminefaith had been closer than them quite honestly, which made losing em to old age even worse. It made it so. Much. Worse. Her apprentices Beetember and Hawkweedthunder, and her mentor Sassafrasbright... ugh, she didn't want to keep thinking about all this sad stuff. She turned her mind to the bright side of things. Who could she name who was alive that she was close with anyways? Maplestar? Maplestar would have died moons ago if she never became a leader. Her kits? Finally something reassuring. She was many tail-lengths away from home, so close yet so far. She would be able to curl up in her den and rest, and everything would be just-* *Her fur stood on end. That was... odd. She lost her train of thought. There was this huge flash of light, a horrid burning sensation, and alas, it was just for one moment. One moment.* *Carambolabloom groggily opened her eyes. What... what had happened? One moment she was in agonizing pain, and as she came too, she observed her surroundings. Everything was... dull. It looked exactly as it had been in those fleeting moments of brightness, save for the weather itself. She didn't understand. She padded back home, as she normally would have- wait, where was the prey? No, it was fine. After that? Maybe she should just go find her kits so they would know she was fine.* *But there was nobody.* *In the world of the living, a sand lizard would scurry off; Angel no longer had a cat she could help. Lil Bobby Bobbinson flew back to Carambolabloom's old home, carrying 3 small rocks, rocks with a resemblance to her kits that she had been bringing home as a gift. Maybe her companions would both have new cats someday, but it wasn't certain.*
Whoa, she dieded. And at my own hands. She had an amazing life imo, and she will be missed. Carambolabloom leaves behind 3 rocks that look like their respective owner patternwise for her kits. Cara's companions can be one of her kits' if I am asked. I don't really have much else to say :/ if you wanna welcome her to the afterlife then just rp in the afterlife studios I suppose I only sent notifs to living cats cuz I'm lazy, sorry if you wanted one. Also her being reduced to ash is canon
