CLARIFY-ER BEFORE YOU READ THE LYRICS: One line about giving up, it's talking about Mary giving up on the CHALLENGE and the card is just trying to get Mary to not try and beat Zin at her game (This is for Scratch Team peeps if I gotta change that lyric just say so) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Context ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So for the info of anybody looking at this yes, I'm making a musical. I've kinda forgotten about it though but for a lyricist competition thing I remembered! One of the other unfinished songs is definitely more pop-like than this one, but this is the only completed non-slow song. The temporary name is the Counting Song just cause no more names have come. The context is that the MC has just released the chaos diety Zin out into the world, and is being transformed by Zin so that she has no way to defeat her and stop her from destroying this dimension (She's already done it to many others). The MC Is Mary, and this musical takes place in the Greek Pantheon world. Mary had thought she was making Zin happy by letting her out of her chaotic prison but turns out she just wanted revenge on her dad Hades for locking her up by destroying the whole world. She COULD take things seriously, but why do that when you can control the greek pantheon like puppets and make them do crazy things without any consequences? Another note I actually didn't feel like spending hours coding all the fancy synthy things in so y'all get the piano version with my vocals (nowhere near the quality of what any final versions would be since I've only got my computer mic, plus I don't intend on voicing anybody but possibly a random side character in the finished musical)

(Zin cackles as a piano does a rolled chord, the next small section is slow) Zin: (singing) So you want that wish to happen? Mary: (speaking) yes? Zin: (muttering to self) What was it again? Oh yeah. (singing) Well guess what! It CAN'T! Mary: (speaking) What?! Zin: (singing) In no dimension is it only happiness, no stress! (speaking) Oh, hey Hades. (Singing) Welcome to the real world... (In this new section it starts being bouncier) Zin: (Singing) Where there's no "happy," little girl!
