So this is part 2 of the project I made for 'Dear Scratch...' yesterday, this one is more about my actual journey on this site and how it's evolved and changed over time. So without further ado, my Scratch story... A year and two months ago, I made my account under the user @DigitalWeirdo :3, I had already had an account before this (which I will not reveal due to the pure CRINGE that that account holds), so i wasn't new to how the site worked. I started off making mostly Rain World content and simple art for the game. After a short while, I came up with the concept of No Man's Land, my original OC universe and story that I've recently released as a written series :] (you should like totally read it if you want it's interesting i swear) Around that same time, I started learning more about animation and art and started trying making animemes with Digi, my previous sona, who was really simple to draw, which made it a lot easier for me to focus on the animeme process itself and less on the art. I started collaborating more with other Scratchers, mostly about Rain World content, which was still most of what I made (The hyperfixation was STRONG with this one ;v;). And that taught me a lot about collaboration and how to properly pull that off on Scratch, and I still try to collaborate and connect with other Scratchers I find interesting because it's a really great way to expand my horizons :3 After I started figuring that out, I also started leaning towards creating more of my own original content, and not just stuff based off a game. My sona also evolved with my content, Digi got so many redesigns I still don't remember all of them, but I still eventually outgrew my little bald alien creature ;w; Now I'm a goofy depressed murder robot B3 But anyway, I started creating content centered more around my own ideas and stories, rather than fandom content (which don't get me wrong, I still have in SPAIDS, I just started leaning more towards my own stuff :] ) Around then, I just started posting whatever I wanted to talk about and not worrying about whether it does well or not (not like I'm making a living off Scratch so that's not as important lol). I also started improving a lot with my art and animation and started exploring with my style. (Right now, I think I've gotten really comfortable with my art style and I'm really happy with it as it is currently :3) Once I reached 100 Weirdos back in March, I really found my rhythm and style for content creation and I've gotten really comfortable with it. At this point it's just a part of my everyday life and I really enjoy it :3 I also went through some really hard times (which to be honest are still going on)(there's a few unfortunate long-term issues...) and I've occasionally posted projects venting about what's been going on and everyone who's commented on those have been really nice and supportive, it's made me feel less alone and it's helped fill a bit of the void of constant support that I had gotten used to and I really appreciate everybody's kind words :,] And where I am right now, I think is really my sweet spot, I've been recently experimenting with new kinds of projects and whole new types of collaboration (Like my podcast with / & a project that'll be coming in a while with Me & :3) and it's been really fun pushing the limits of what I've gotten comfortable doing so far and discovering whole new ways to create on Scratch :3
So that's it, that's my story so far, I've really enjoyed the journey to this point and it's been amazing on this site, I'm really excited to see where Scratch goes in the future and what else I can pull off in the future >:3 Also I'm sorry but 52 VIEWS IN LESS THAN A DAY?? WHAT THATS SO AWESOME!!? (≧▽≦)
