The KV-1 was a Soviet heavy tank produced before the German invasion of the Soviet Union. The tank, along with the T-34, stunned German tankers who had no idea what it was. The KV-2 was an assault howitzer derived from the KV-1. It used a new turret and 152mm howitzer.
