whoaa i'm actually proud of myself. even if i don't win, the art was a big improvement from what it was before, and i'm super happy with the animation, even if it is pretty simple and short. all art was done on scratch, so the lighting is a bit odd since I couldn't do any cool effects or anything. the first drawing is the original, the second is mine. the third and fourth pics are of the same cat, but I attempted to create him in WCUE (which is a warrior cats roleplay game you either play or have never heard of before.) press space to view, clicking triggers the animation. (you can click any sprite, and the animation will start from the beginning) we're keeping the pronouns, name, and species, but here's a quick (not really) bio: They told him he couldn't run from his destiny. So he did. Fall was created to be one who turned the world. A Season. But this cat wanted no part in his role. See, Winter began each year, creating frigid temperatures and icy storms that cleared the ground for Spring to begin their duty of creating growth. From there, Summer would take on the role, making the buds flourish and the temperatures rise. And, when autumn arrived, Fall's task was to make everything, well, fall, and start the process of clearing the slate once more. These cats were not born, it was simply that Earth wished for change, since it was bored of the constant temperatures and stagnated precipitation. And so she created the four cat-like beings. Alas, but no one is ever satisfied. At the first year, Winter gladly did his job, freezing the Earth's surface in near-completeness. Spring created an array of colorful flowers, wetting the Earth and preparing temperatures for Summer. Summer quickly warmed the planet, allowing Spring's creations to flourish. Earth expected the final Season to cool the temperatures and was waiting to see the leaves fall. But nothing came. The Earth grew warm as Summer struggled to dull her task, and Winter and Spring stood to the side, helplessly observing the calamity. At the near end of Summer, Fall had cascaded down to Earth, unwilling to force trees to shed their leaves and ruin the peace. Fall didn't enjoy change, he would have preferred it much better had things stayed the same, and so they fled. On Earth's surface, Fall wandered the near barren lands. Spring and Summer's creations were gone, unable to withstand the heat. Being a Season, Fall was unbothered by the temperature, but a wave of worry still managed to reach him.
