1st Person, Shelly] Prologue 2/5 ----------------- ) "Are you crazy!.. You want to see them?.." Astro scolded me when I told him I wanted to see... well Shanon and the other toon handlers. But I could not help thinking about them. Why had they not returned yet? It's been a ten year promise now.. "Not to mention that it's dangerous out there.." Astro continued. I thought about what to say for a while. "I know, I know! But maybe if I find her- them, it would fix everything! It will all go back to normal again.." I said. It sounded like I wanted to only go for Shanon now. But that was originally my plan. Astro would yet again stare at me again with worry. His gaze made me feel colder than Vee whenever I try and talk about dinosaurs with her. (It's nothing personal. But I just REALLYYY want to talk about dinosaurs with her!!) I pulled up my drooping blanket back up to my shoulders, mostly out of awkwardness. I looked back at Astro. He seemed like he was thinking about something. Astro then spoke. " So... Do you really want to go out into the real world? Just to fix this... lifestyle?" I nodded slowly "I will be fine! It's just a little trip! Compared to us doing runs, it's nothing!" I said, reassuring my unknown safety. "Then," Astro started. "How about I come with you?.. I -don't want you going alone, and two is better than one." I thought about it. Would it really be alright? But then again, I honestly am glad he said that. To be honest, I am scared of what will happen once I do leave Gardenview for a little while. "Uhm... Sure! I would appreciate the company to be honest." I glanced across the room to where the rolled-up map was. I made the map based on one I saw in one of the books I came across on Brightney's shelf looking for a fossil book. When I took the book from the bookshelf to just take a peek inside of it, Brightney exploded with facts about the book when she caught me looking at it. She even said I can borrow it for a bit! As I unrolled the map, it made the sound of crumbling leaves. I decided when we should make the trip for now. We were excited but also still scared of making this voyage.
