Make sure to NOT press the green flag while playing, it will reset all your progress -A & D or arrows to move -Space to open your inventory -E to interact/continue dialogue -In the inventory, hover over items to view their descriptions and click a hat to put it on. Battle: Use E for every attack minigame Right before an enemy hits you, press E to block half the damage. Hover your mouse over a status effect to view what it does and see how long it has left.
This project was certainly a long time coming, it's been about 3 years developing this so yall better like it. I started this as something to do in class around my high school junior year, but over time it became very large. So after I graduated high school, I didn't get much done on it for most of my first college year. I came back to it this summer since it was nearly a finished game by then and also because I just enjoyed working on this project. It has certainly been a hassle getting this thing uploaded on Scratch due to the size limits, but well worth it. Anyways, since I started this project about 3 years ago, some of the code isn't great. You may notice pressing the green flag resets your progress totally. If this were something I started today, I would've built a system to work around that, but unfortunately with so much of the game made already it would be too much of a timesink on a game I've already sunk so much of my time into. I guess the moral here is that if you're gonna start creating something, take the time to finish it unless you have solid evidence that the thing you started was a bad idea in the first place.
