ICE has harmed hundreds of thousands of people through detention, deportation, and family separation policies. Since 2025 alone, ICE has arrested more than 210,000 people and deported more than 216,000, while detention numbers have reached record highs. Thousands of children have been detained, and thousands of families have experienced separation. Human rights groups have also documented deaths in detention, inadequate medical care, solitary confinement, and poor living conditions. Opponents of ICE argue that these practices have caused widespread trauma, particularly for immigrant families, asylum seekers, and children.
