My Light I used to be trapped The shadows reached out to me They kept me hidden, and under their spell Blocked in every direction I looked, there was no way to be free So many tears I had shed on that one gruesome day So helpless, so lost, so I collapsed down on my knees Praying to a God I didn't know I could trust Saying "Save me Jesus please!" He came to me, a warm smile on his face My lord held his hand out through the dark Told me "Don't you worry child" And "Let me give your eyes a spark" With that, he transformed into this glow Battling the gloom and pain Saved me from the demons of my mind He cleansed my heart and brain Thank you my savior for forgiving all my sins And for pulling me out the fearful sights Thank you for always staying by my side And for being my light <3
