My Fantasy When life becomes too much, I imagine you with me And I know I'll never find somebody like you, because you're my fantasy You exist only in the words I read on these pages But darling, I could read all about you for ages I wish I could join your fairy tale Filled with dragons, adventures, and monsters we impale You slaughter the enemies with nothing but ease And for you I would travel the seven seas I yearn to ride on the dragon with you right by my side As we fly across the mighty riptide Battling the evil, and teasing remarks I gaze hopefully at you, and ask "Don't you feel the sparks?" Except you can't respond, because you're just in my mind While my friends experience love, I'm falling behind So once more, I open my books to escape reality And find you there, my fantasy
