Bayezid I looks back at Timur in the cage Timur keeps him locked up in after the Battle of Ankara. I decided to make his clothing stand out more, make his hair a stronger colour after seeing other depictions of him online, and replaced the European-style crown on his head with a different headdress. Additionally, I made his turban less goofier. In Bayezid's facial expression, limited by the cage's bars, you can see that he is anxious and also sad at his predicament, though he tries to feign ignorance in front of the sadistic Timur, whose silhouette can be seen to the left.
