✦ | space/click ✦ | plain text: welcome to my tutorial, i'm going to be briefly explaining how to import your own audio from youtube to a scratch project. please use space or click to proceed! go to youtube and find the audio you want. here's my example that i'm using here, esugar <3 TIP: music videos aren't usually a good idea, as they often have extra noise and/or silence in them. it's better to find the audio version or a lyric video of the song you want to add. copy the link to your video, search up "yt to mp3 converter", and paste in your link. TIP: i have a pop-up blocker, so nothing showed up on my screen. however, you must be very careful when using these converters. if you click something weird, immediately exit. If you don't want to risk it, you can request me to upload some audio onto scratch for you, but no guarantees that I can. Also, you don't have to use the same converter I did, there are multiple. your file should have downloaded by now. it might show up as a play button or a picture like mine did. Now you can add your music into a project. Click on the Sounds tab to add it. Upload your downloaded file and you're good to go. Congrats, you completed the tutorial. Stay safe. Don't click or download anything that looks suspicious. Please don't add inappropriate audio to your projects. You can request more tutorials if you want. Have fun.
✦ | more advice - i highly recommend not choosing a video that is too long, as it may take a very long time to download/upload and it may not even work at all. the video in the project was just an example, and i used a 2 minute version of the song in this project. - Remember that you can add multiple audio files to a single project. It all depends on what you want to make. For example, you might be making a game with multiple sound effects, or a story that has multiple lines of voice acting. If you just want to put some background music into it, I would recommend simply uploading the audio into the sounds tab of the backdrop menu so that you won't lose sight of it. - And remember, you actually do have to code your audio to play, it won't just code itself to play automatically.
