I closed my eyes and turned to my side and saw the stuffed fox at my side. I clutched it closer to me and a tear rolled like a ball down my cheek. "Let me sleep, let me sleep, let me sleep." I chanted softly with rythm. I chanted it over and over again till I fell asleep. I awoke to the sound of those lousy baby blue birds on my roof. bleh. Too loud. I lay on my back and I squinted at the clouds and the sun behind it. I looked at my clock. 8:05. I had overslept! I remembered that it was school and jumped from bed, leaving my bed sheets messy. I rushed to my clothes drawer and took out a black crop top, stitch shorts, and a long, droopy, oversized sweatshirt that said, "Proud Fox Therian". My fav outfit. I quickly put them on, sliding on the sweater. It wasn't that hot out today. I rushed to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I pushed out the gooy paste onto the spikes of the bright green brush. I swiped it along the rows of gleaming white teeth. I Spit out the water and gurgled my mouth with clean water. I wiped my mouth with a towel. I grabbed my backpack, as I thought if I should wear at least my fox tail and ears, which I never did. I did this time. I slid them onto me. And ran out the door and ran to the bus stop, the next street away. I sprinted along the damp grey sidewalks and had to let a little yowl out. I was excited! I would finally meet Ember! In real life again! But I had to force myself not to run around and do quads on all fours. there were 4 other people at the bus stop. All kids who bullied me. They spotted me and said, "Look! It's the cat! or is it an elephant? whatever. She's an animal and she is talking to the other wolves! Er, Cats? Elaphants?" One guy teased. "At least you get something right." I said. "I am an animal. But I am a FOX and I am not communicating!" I concluded. "Nerd!" Another boy said. I scowled.
