The identity of therian is so watered down at this point its kinda disappointing. im not hating on newer awakened critters, by ANY means. but constantly, i see misinformation spread abt the identity, people watering it down, etc. being a therian means you identify as a nonhuman animal on any level. Physical therians exist. Biological therians exist. it is NOT always nonphysical. But those two are not always zoanthropes. there is a huge difference between beleiving you are in the process of, have already, or have in the past, transformed into a nonhuman animal (zoanthropy), and identifying as nonhuman physically or biologically. and again. Being a therian is identifying as a nonhuman animal involuntarily. if you dont identify AS A NONHUMAN ANIMAL INVOLUNTARILY, YOU ARE NOT. A. THERIAN. and like i said in the last project abt this, yes. some think we are nonhuman, at least to some extent. I fully beleive i am nonhuman, though i awknowledge that my body (which i view more as a vessel) is biologically human, in the same way i know that i was born a female. that is not the case for all critters tho. like...why the HECK would we identify as something and not beleive it? im probably not wording this too great, and we DEFINETLY do not beleive we are nonhuman in the way haters think we do, but still. its just so frustrating seeing my community, my identity, seemingly evapporate because people keep spreading misinfo, keep saying therians dont identify as nonhuman, keep saying its just a connection, etc. again, im not trying to hate. But please educate yourself before using the identity. You may be otherhearted. you may be othermarrowed. you may be an otherpaw. you may be an otherlink. you may be a therian. you may be a holothere. you may be something else i dont know about, or not remembing atm. Or maybe you just really like animals. but *PLEASE* do your research. I beg of you ToT the identity is complicated, and while your experience WILL most definetly be different from mine, you can only be a therian if you identify as nonhuman. yeah. its kinda different and unique and complicated. but its a valid identity, and not meant to be the "Normal" that humans made. pls do not water down the identity out of fear either. Thats another thing ive seen. where critters will spread misinfo out of fear of being judged. I get it, you dont know how a person will react. but at least dont misinform them.
