Like before, the players are summoned by shells and they will have to avoid as many shells as possible to stay in the game! This time though, there are even more shells than before, and hitting any shell (with the exception of the Electric Shell) no longer takes you out of the game, as they do different things instead! The shells spawn in faster the longer the game goes on as well. The last player standing wins! A different game every time! ===== HOW TO REMIX ===== Want to add a character to this project? Follow these instructions carefully to get them in: 1. See inside the project for the rules and read them. DON'T proceed until you've done this! 2. Click the green "Remix" button at the top-right corner. 3. Create a duplicate of the "Player0" sprite. (right-click the sprite on the sprite list, then click "duplicate") 4. Create your character! Replace every costume in the duplicated sprite with your character, replace all "Voice" sound clips (at the bottom of the sound list) with your character's voice & set their name, number of footstep sounds, walk animation speed, size, and number of "Ouch" voiceclips. 5. Test your project &, if you like the result, either continue to add more characters or share it! BONUS: You're also allowed to add characters to the thumbnail & add more music tracks. The credits are located in the thumbnail sprite with the rules and the list of shell types so they can be passed on to later remixes. ===== ADVICE ===== Don't get too hasty when hitting too many shells, as bad things could happen like knocking you out of the game! Learn the tricks of every shell to succeed.
My 15th AY-minigame and 4th Redux minigame is now out! It all started in 2022 when I was looking at 's minigames and found a unique minigame called "Shell Shock". It was riddled with lots of bugs and glitches, and it barely got any remixes. 3 years later, I had plans on making a Redux out of this minigame to fix those issues, and the creator of the minigame gracefully accepted my idea to make it! A year later, I started developing the minigame, and I really liked the way it turned out! And this also means that after 4 years, Shell Shock is finally back and newer than ever! Now this idea has become a reality! Not many new things are introduced for this minigame and my other minigames along with it, except for a feature where multiple draw results themes can now be played with help from the "Music" sprite, so we don't have to deal with just one draw theme. Player-wise, I reused the clone-player engine from "Roulette of Trapdoors" because it was the most versatile solution when making AY minigames. But Scratch Cat is removed from the player roster to make way for 's characters. (Don't worry, I'll add him in a future remix!) I was going to add a system where the players would move out of the way if a shell is nearby, but that caused the game to lag heavily, so I scrapped it. Due to rushed production towards the end, there might be some bugs and glitches due to insights. If you notice any, let me know, and I'll attempt to fix them if they're deemed too severe to keep. This project was originally made in June 11, 2026 and officially shared to the public in June 15, 2026. Most of the development time was finding music tracks and thinking out what new shell types should be in the game.
