This is a test of simulating lights on a 2d sprites. In other Engines we use Normal maps but in this test instead of using advance coding and droping the frame rate I divided the objects into simple shapes each having its own direction this makes the system light weight and well optimised. While this is hard to apply on complex objects and animations but can be easily use on simple and static objects to make it look more appeling. Instructions for using it: 1. All the costumes must be named on the direction its facing. 2. On the define make clones block select the first costume. 3. In the make clone block inside the forever loop enter the the number of faces it have. I have also added comments incase you cant understand. Feel free to use it I am excited to see all the amazing projects you can use this in. Specially the cube platformer. Sorry for using ai thumbnails also in the next version i will add multiple light source with different colours.
