So, you know how some people dislike the Fireheart and Spottedleaf ship because of the age gap? Well I looked it up and turns out cats do not actually care about that so although I imagine Erin Hunter decided not to do this because humans would be reading the books not cats if we're being realistic it would've been fine for Fireheart and Spottedleaf to end up together as apparently cats are driven by the scents of other mature cats of the opposite gender(such as the "sweet scent" of Spottedleaf anybody?) and before you say Firepaw was too young at the time he was not he was in about the just right age range(yes, I was surprised too)
