so 2 days ago I was walking teddy but then a mother duck and her teenage ducklings appear and teddys instincts kick in and he chases them thinking they're water foul (if ya don't know golden retrievers were bred in Scotland and were meant to hunt water foul) so he went all in dragging me along cause i was holding the leash (and mind you teddy is 72 or 75 pounds) so then as I'm being dragged around getting closer to the lake in our backyard I try to grab onto a branch of the bush that grew next to our tree but the branch broke and when it did I tripped on one of the roots of the tree making me on my lay down face planted in the dirt like a cartoon character still being dragged closer and closer to the lake eventually i let go of the leash and teddy jumps into the lake after the ducks swimming in the lake then my mom says to teddy come and he does but his fur had lake water on it (and you probably know lake water is dirty) so we washed him with our shampoo (since we had no dog shampoo) and used the hose to wash him outside and he loved but in the prosses of cleaning him he tried to shake of the lake water and so we all got wet inside the toddlers and my sister had no idea this happened while avoh nana my mom my brother and me had to wash the dog and then we had no dog blow dryer so what we did is my mom used her blow dryer brush thing to dry off teddy which did work his fur after that was so shiny and soft and we were shocked cause when we washed his coller it was actually blue and then we realized that the people we adopted him from took care of him but he had not been washed at all and the only reason they did is because they didn't want him to go to the pound
