Welcome, everybody, to my third poem I have ever posted on scratch! Sit tight and prepare for the ride, as you are about to witness… Fire, a Beginning x - - - - - - - - - - - x I cannot change the opinions of those I have met before. But when I leave a place I have known so long, I will meet more. I can shape what they think of me, I can be myself. And when they think of me, they will think of me, not my past. It will be like fire. It will rage in, it will destroy. It will burn, it will roar. But it shall cleanse. Because through those ashes, a new me shall rise. A true me, locked away in a dungeon that just had to be burned. Had to be burned so I could find myself. Like a phoenix, from death and despair, a new me will discover herself. It has all been cleansed by the fire. I have been hurt, but my wounds have been tended to. Infection spread inside myself, inside everything, but that fire has cleansed it all. That fire has burned out the infection. I have learned, through that fire, how to be myself. I have learned who I am, I have found pieces of me scattered beneath the ash. I have learned that it’s okay to be me. I have learned that an ending isn’t truly an end, only another chance. I have learned that when you reach your end, find your chance and take it. - - - - - - - Well, it seems you have made it to the end of this poem! I hope you enjoyed this poem I have written.
