Neither Tom nor Kate could have imagined what would be happening six months from now. They didn’t know how bad it would get. When you mix a sweetheart teenager from London with a spunky blacksmith in 1884, you never know what you’ll get. Especially with Tom Wilson and Katherine Margo, who claimed she must be called Kate by any and every subject of Alabama. Kate was…well, sometimes she forgot she wasn’t in London anymore. She grew up rich in a big house with her mother Mary and father James, a very successful businessman. An only child, Kate was often alone. So when she escaped London and bought a house on the prairie of Alabama, she started a new life. But she was still alone. Kate was the type to always read romance novels and stories of affair in the newspapers. She was what other women called a “hopeless romantic.” So she became a writer for the paper. It was hard as a lady writer in 1884. So she disguised herself in the paper. As Leonard Williams, a writer from France. Tom, on the other hand, was fond of his work. Tom was very fond of his work. When he wasn’t working, he would go into the city near the bay and catcall women. Tom always made sure to catcall extra when he saw Kate. He didn’t know who she was, but he loved her. More than the other women, to say. She wore the finest dresses and had a large bosom. So when you mix the two together, what do you get? Nobody knows. That’s why this was made.
