In the start menu... Use WASD to move through the options E to select (It is only the start menu use the mouse on other menus) when selecting characters OR in the party screen... drag left/right to go to a different character (and select it if in the character selection menu) Other controls are in the game if you are stuck somewhere, try upgrading your characters in the shop (on the top right corner of the map screen) also the little buttons with the star on it are the levels btw you can play it on turbowarp if you want (I'm not sure if it will lag if it does you can play it here) https://turbowarp.org/1189638757
