Tw for cat D3ath, blood Mischiefmiracle wandered slowly through Flurryclan territory. He fancied a quick walk, away from all the injuries and illnesses and stuffy air of the medic den. They could also collect some herbs, if he was lucky. Mimi made his way towards the border, deciding to patrol. They weren’t meant to, and probably shouldn’t- that was the warrior’s job, right? But if they weren’t going to do it, he had to pick up after them. He paused in front of a large tree. This was where they had met Sizzlingstar- Sizzlingblaze, at the time. Miz blinked away the thoughts and forcefully turned around. He couldn’t think about that, not now. This day was going so well, it couldn’t be ruined by a tree. Miz froze as the scent of wolf hit their nose. Close. Dangerously close. Too close. They let out a deafening yowl as he tore through the meadows. The wolf was hot on their heels, and he could almost smell it’s hot breath. He wasn’t sure what was louder, the sound of the wolf’s snarls and growls behind them or the sound of their own heartbeat. Cover. They needed to find shade and cover. They needed to get to Mossclan territory! He bolted to the right, narrowly avoiding the wolf’s snapping jaws. He then dived into a nearby bush, trying his hardest to stay still. Their breath came out in short gasps. He placed their paws on their throat, attempting to stay calm. It would be okay. They just needed to get back to camp. Mischiefmiracle waited until the wolf was out of sight before shuffling out of the bush, and started warily walking backwards. That was, until, they tripped over a root, landing flat on their back. He hissed and spun around, examining his paw for injuries. It was sore, but they’d probably be fine. All he needed to do was- No. No, this couldn’t be where his story ended. They had so much to live for, so much he still had to do. But as Mischiefmiracle eyes locked onto the wolf in front of them, he knew all of that would be cut off. Mi could only muster strangled cry as the wolf’s sharp teeth tore into his throat. To them, he was just a threat. A threat that needed to be neutralised. The next Mischiefmiracle saw was blood. Blood, blood everywhere. Their blood. Red, hot and sticky. The wolf must have left, or had at least gone quiet, since Mimi could no longer hear its snarls. Or perhaps, that was because Mi was already drifting away. He embraced it with open arms. Their life had been nothing but an endless roller coaster of grief and sorrow. He wouldnt mind the ride slowing down to a stop. He was a coward. All their life, he’d ran from danger. And that foolishness is what kept him alive for so long. It would never last. It was never sustainable. It was worthless. Huh. Was this what dying was like? Slowly, rotting away on the floor, his last moments shared with his own blood and tears. Wait. They were crying? Since when? And why? Perhaps he wasn’t feeling sorry for themself. Perhaps they were upset because of the grief he’d inflict onto his clanmates. Their mind drifted to Marvelkit. Poor little Marvelkit. She had no one now. Would she even make it? Zinniazeal. She’d broken her promise. Was that what pushed Mischiefmiracle over the edge? Gingercheer. He warned Miz not to head out alone. They all had, but he had ignored them. It was because of his own arrogance and stupidity that he died. All His Fault. ================= When Mischiefmiracle opened their eyes again, he wasn’t in Starclan. But he wasn’t in the dark forest, either. It was… a mix between the two? His right paw rushed to his throat. There was no wound, no injury, no blood. Just a bit of missing fur. Most importantly, there was no pain. That’s when he realised that their paw was transparent, and gave off a thin, white glow. A dazzling brown tabby cat sat in front of him, the sunset stretched far and wide in her brown, hollow eyes. “Welcome to the outer lands, Mischiefmiracle. It took you a while to join us.”
Well then, that was uh… something. Surprisingly, I’m not upset, I’m not ecstatic, I’m not shocked. I don’t really feel anything, actually. Mimi was meant to be a gag character, but they were too good for that. /silly. Thank you to everyone who made Mischiefmiracle life so important <33 I don’t have the time nor character space to thank everyone, but I’ll list a few here. Thank you, @Gloryofthemorning, for give Mischiefmiracle to me in the first place! I’m sorry they couldn’t have lived longer… Thank you, @Amazingfam2009, for giving Mischief the opportunity to become a medic, along with all the roleplays we did. From the bottom of my heart, I cannot express the gratitude I feel for the time you put aside to roleplay with me. Thank you, @minty-made and @miyakori, for being Mischiefmiracle’s best friends through thick and thin… I’m sorry that Mischief and Ginger never got together, and I’m sorry Mimi broke their promise to Zinniazeal. Thank you, to all of Mimi’s brothers and sisters, especially @_-Willowsong-_, I’m sorry the light in Marvelkit’s life has been switched off. Thank you, @Mermaid5509, for, despite not getting too deep into it, giving Mischiefmiracle a chance to be evil. Thank you, @_-Altadrowmay-_, for being Mimi’s trusted leader and friend. Thank you to so, so, so many others. I may not have included you, but every single one of you meant something to me. So thank you. It was an honour serving Flurryclan for this short chapter.
