3 Biblical facts that you probably didn’t know!! 1. Jesus says “I am the Alpha and the Omega”, which is the beginning and the end (Revelation 1:8). The very first words of the Bible is Bereshit (which means ‘In the beginning…’ in Hebrew). And the very first letter of Bereshit is ב (pronounced ‘bet’). When you look at the very end of the Bible, it ends with ‘Amen’. (Revelations 22:21). Though the New Testament was written in greek, “Amen” was a Hebrew word that was carried over. And in Hebrew the last letter for amen is נ (pronounced nun). So the first letter of the Bible is B which is bet, and the last letter is N which is nun. Put Bet and Nun together, and you get “Ben” - which means Son… If there’s one thing we learn from this, it’s that God is very intentional. The entire Bible, all the way from Genesis to Revelation, the whole thing is about Jesus!! 2. From the cross, Jesus yells out: “My God, My God, why have Thou forsaken Me?” (Matthew 27:46). But why did Jesus say that if He’s the Son of God? Turns out that this was actually one of the greatest mic drops of human history! The pharisees that put Him up there, they had all the Scripture memorized. They knew it all, word for word. And when He said that line, they freaked out because they knew exactly where it was coming from. It was coming from Psalm 22, which David wrote a thousand years before that even happened, starts off with “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” (Psalm 22:1). Then that same chapter continues to explain the crucifixion that happens a thousand years later in detail (Psalm 22:16-18). All of this thousands of years before it even happened. Jesus wasn’t crying out in confusion, He was fulfilling prophecy! Imagine the Pharisees… they knew the Psalms, they knew Psalm 22, they knew it all by heart. And then they get to see it all fulfilled right in front of them. 3. What did God take out of Adam to create Eve? A rib. And what are one of the only bones in the human body that can actually regrow itself? Ribs. And what do those ribs surround in the human body? The heart. And how many ribs are there in the human body? 24. Now, Revelation 11:16 says: “And the twenty-four elders who sit on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshiped God”. That verse is talking about heaven. 24 elders sit around Jesus - like human ribs. And Jesus is the Heart of our faith. I hope you liked it! Jesus loves you!! =D
