It’s the time of year when I should be studying but instead I want to redo this. Hi. 1: What is the name of your series? A: Who knows? I don’t. 2: What is it about? (Give a synopsis) A: Middle class girl who is sort part of a rebellion against a colonising race but this is in a fantasy world and not real life. The current rebellion messengers (?) are all young people and put in pairs to travel around bringing up discourse. We also have a three-eyed race of humanoid things that are used like livestock? The food issued by the king (not coloniser, the local king) has qrvgs in it to keep the three-eyes subdued. Main character is a three-eye with her third eye sewn shut btw. I got rid of the “chosen one” thing (you’d know if you read the last one) because classism 3: What is it about? (Wrong answers only ;D) A: Poor ah kid supposed to wipe out white people in her third word country? 4: Who is your protagonist? How old are they? A: Shams. I think shes between 14-16. 5: What is your world like? Is it based in a fantasy world, our world, or somewhere in between? A: I have the same response as last time: colonised India with bits of Arab culture and things 6: What genre would you consider your series? (Fantasy, action, adventure, romance, thriller, etc.) A: Fantasy? 7: What age group is your intended audience? (Teens, kids, all ages) A: I can’t say young adult because I’m not one lol but it’s certainly not for kids 8: Are you working on your series alone, or is it a multi-person project? A: Me, myself, and I. 9: What medium is your series? (Comic, novel, animated series, etc.) A: It’ll be a novel, hopefully. 10: Who is your favorite character? A: Nuh! He’s Shams’ partner in crime/overthrowing the coloniser/the ✨coup✨ He’s so cute and sweet! I’m making sure he doesn’t die but that doesn’t mean Shams won’t… 11: Who is your least favorite character? A: Naji bro T0T this guy is in his villain arc though I’m afraid he’ll stay a villain. 12: Which character is the most interesting? (Personality, backstory, etc.) A: Naji. He’s old as heII so it means he’s been through some things, no? 13: Which character is the most morally correct? A: No one T0T that’s the point of the book 14: Which character is the least morally correct? A: Obviously the colonisers but of the ‘good’ side, Naji. He thirsts for the obliteration of the British. 15: What is your favorite ship? (Assuming your story includes romance) A: It really doesn’t but I’m team Naji x Nuh! The most toxic relationship to curse this earth, god bless my soul
16: What is the most interesting character dynamic? A: All the pairs honestly, but if I have to be specific, Shams and Nuh! Shams dressed up as Nuh’s best friend by being a mute boy T0T it was craaazy (I didn’t write the scene yet). 17: How long is your series? Is it a stand-alone book, a trilogy, or a whole multi-installment saga? A: I haven’t asked god yet. I’ll ask him and get back to you. 18: What inspired your series? A: Dreams, books, shows. 19: What authors (if any) inspired your series? (Plot, themes, genre, characters) A: Man idk if Leigh Bardugo is a Zionist but I own all of the grishaverse and it was great inspiration for a lot of things I’ve written in the past few years. Also ‘The Night Diary’ by Veera Hiranandani which I was gifted. She never visited India and was an American patriot and wrote shi like that, why can’t I? I have and Indian passport, for gods sake T0T I should be able to write about the country I visit twice a year. 20: Which characters are based off yourself? Are there any experiences you might share? A: Everyone, honestly. A they all have elements of myself, like Shams is closer to me in appearance, Nuh is really concerned about everyone like me, Naji’s villain arc is very close to mine (I kinda feel like I’m in a truman-show sort of thing because I have a perfect villain arc following the format! It weirded me out), and the king is definitely self-preserving like me. Every character holds a part of my soul (I’m getting poeeetiic) 21: What creatures/species are included in your series? A: Humans (multiple races), Three-eyes, and other fantasy creatures I haven’t thought up yet (I’m sooo good at planning) 22: If your series is a comic/animation series, what style would you consider it to be in? (Cartoon, anime, cute, realism, etc.) A: It’s a novel with illustrations but not of people (not that I can’t draw them—I just want to leave their appearances to your imagination). I might animate some things, who knows. 23: Who is the most underrated character? A: The Queen though I feel like the fans might treat her like uncle Iroh, if you know what I mean. 24: Who is the most overrated character? A: Najiii. I know he’s a hot guy, okay? But he’ll probably use you and throw you away like the guy Olivia Rodrigo talks about in Vampire 25: How many main characters are there? (Protag, sidekicks, etc.) A: POV books are overused and PMO so it’s in the format of a storybook—theres a narrator telling you everything. 26: How many characters are mentioned in the series? A: Idk bro T0T 27: Does your series include neurodivergence? (autism, down syndrome, ADHD, etc.) A: I don’t make anything obvious but Shams has DID/bipolar disorder but it’s really light? She has crazy mood swings but it’s certainly not hormones. The Queen has Alice in wonderland Syndrome so she’s locked up in the palace. I haven’t thought beyond that, honestly 28: What themes are explored in your series? A: Classism, imperialism, colonialism, racism. 29: If your series could become an anime/cartoon, would you take the opportunity? A: Sure, but only if I can oversee the process and choose the art and everything. And only if they stick to the plot. 30: Is your series available online? I'd love to see it :> A: No…
