The 2010 season was one of the least active seasons on record; however, despite that, it had the 7th strongest storm the eastern Pacific had ever seen. The storm kicked off active, and first, it looked like it was going to be an average season. Agatha was first, making landfall in Guatemala, followed by Two-E and Blas. Then, Celia came around. The storm formed in the eastern portions of the basin and moved westwards while slowly intensifying, up to category 2. In the overnight hours of June 24, the wind shear lessened, and the storm underwent Rapid Intensification, peaking at 160 mph and 921 mbar on June 25th, 2010. The storm then encountered wind shear, and over the course of 42 hours, it weakened down to a tropical storm. Then, on June 28th, it officially died, and its remnants floated off to Baja California. The second major hurricane of the season formed not too long after Celia formed; Hurricane Darby formed south of Mexico and went westwards, on a similar path to Celia. The storm underwent 2 phases of Rapid Intensification, and on the latter, it reached 120 mph. But then it encountered the winds of Alex, causing the storm to stall and weaken. The storm then floated out towards Mexico before dying. The season then went quiet, with a record-low 1 storm forming in July. However, in late August, the season would spit out its final hurricane. Hurricane Frank was a Category 1 hurricane that ran parallel along the southern coast of Mexico for the course of a week before dissipating. The season would have one final named storm in late September, being named Georgette. Georgette moved northwards into Baja California and dumped a ton of rain in the area. It weakened into a depression and moved into mainland Mexico. The Central Pacific had its only storm in December. Omeka, which was a storm that initially formed in the WPAC, was an extratropical low that moved into the Central Pacific in December and developed into a subtropical storm before dissipating soon after. also i swear if anyone says that this description is ai generated its not, it took me an hour to write.
If laggy, use this: https://turbowarp.org/1331803616 This is by far my highest-quality animation; let me know if you like the new icons, the timer, and the storm stats. It took me just over 2 weeks to make the animation, so dropping a heart or adding it to a studio would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! If you add this project to 5 studios and comment, "done," I'll follow you! Icons by me Timer by me Music credits in the project And yes, everything here is 100% accurate, from the track to the exact date and time everything happened; this animation is a reliable source for information.
