Hooking it in his teeth, it left him vulnerable to attack. Met with snarling jaws, and cold, cruel eyes, Rowal swooped in front of him, and landed on the wolves snout. "No! Fly!" The bird paid him no mind, beating its wings against its cold eyes, digging talons into its nose. The wolf shook its head and flung him to it the ground. "Rowal!" It screeched, he didn't stir. No. No. NO! She turned and faced the wolf. All bets were off. Pouncing on it, he missed. The wolf pinned her, and with a clamp of the jaws, he awoke in the darkest place he'd known. The Dark Forest.
