Update with Raven On The Run Rave is my newest arrival, and I have been told that he only does in hand but can be trained to a riding discipline. I want to train him to a riding discipline, which one I haven't decided yet so I just did all purpose tack today. Once his discipline is decided I will use tack specific to that, but for now, all purpose. I got out Gracie's old saddle and pad, and I can assure you that is not his final tack set, but its what I have so its what I'm using. I let him sniff it before slowly rubbing it around on his back. He seemed a little unnerved by it but after Iet him sniff it again and rubbed it on his back again he grew calmer. I knew that we were at a good spot and don't want to push it, so I gave him a treat and ended the session for the day. Rave did great and I hope to finish backing and then start riding him soon!
