Since the Emporium Rail DH-3 is one of my favourite freelance designs, i had to make another OC outta it. Everybody, meet Amber. Amber was built in 1929 for the Emporium Rail's Eastern Division in the state of Terasdale. Like with all the other DH-3s, she was used as a switcher but also hauled short distance mainline trains. After the EMPT's Eastern Division became part of Terasdale Pacific Rail Systems in 1960, Amber continued her work and would be one of few steamers to continue service well into the 70's, 80's and 90's. Being one of the last DH-3's to be withdrawn in 1995, she was sold to a heritage railroad but began to misbehave and was then put into storage in 1997. She then went missing 3 months later by which a massive search party went to look for the lost engine. I took until 2024 for her to be found. And blimey how she was found is shocking. Theo Stewart and Cassio (my MPI MP36 oc) were hauling a passenger train to a station a few feet away from the fencing of a nearby elementary school when Stewarts brakes failed, causing the two to crash into the field of said school. While nobody at the school was hurt thankfully, some of the crew and passengers were. The accident then somehow caused a sinkhole nearby to form, uncovering the remains of an abandoned tunnel underneath. The school closed for a few days cause of it. After hours of clearing the tunnel out, it was discovered that she was left in there, claiming to have been hijacked on the night of her disappearance. Restored straight afterwards, she finally entered service on the Scratchdale National Heritage Rail, forming a friendship bond with Stewart and Cassio, also reuniting with some of the other former Emporium Rail locomotives also working on the SNHR, mainly Keith and Grace. Originally named Elisie, she hated her previous name and was renamed Amber McAlpine, especially after a student who suggested that name for her, which she approved. Space/Click Free to use. But do NOT report, steal, ruin, etc.
