Sarah & Sophie Lore: Sarah and Sophie were two Pearl State Railroad B5 class switch engines built by Giagru Inc. in 1939 as part of there Blaigh series. Out of the 13 B5's built, Sarah was the oldest while Sophie was the youngest. Having lasted well into service until 1979, they were still in decent shape when withdrawn, and were ordered by Present & Lakeland Scrapyard Co. in Terasdale to work as scrap switchers. Unfortunately, like with all the other engines who worked there, they were poorly treated. After the scrapyard declared bankruptcy in 1988, they were stored before they were sold to the Dorleen Heritage Rail in 1991 where they worked for several years. Having met Theo Stewart during his brief service there in 2001, they were then sold to the Scratchdale National Heritage Rail in 2023 where they reunited with him and continue to work there. Russell Lore: Russell is a Fallen Valley R-2-A class locomotive built in 1935. He worked near the docks, sorting and hauling trains in an out of the docks. Passed into Gobo Rail Lines ownership in 1960, he was in 1977 and was sold to the Scratchdale National Heritage Rail that same year where he still works to this day. The SNHR's trackage soon expanded to one of the docks he worked at in later years, which he now resides in and works nearby. Space/Click Free to use. But give credit, if you can. Credits: - Me (Sprites, artstyle, Sarah, Sophie & trainified Russell) - CFanatic (trainified Russell inspiration) - Mondo Media (Russell's OG owner) Notes: - Russell was originally planned to be a Central New Jersey J1 class, before i changed it as it did not work near the docks and was a passenger engine. In addition, i transferred Russell's previous basis to Splendid, who was originally based on a Kenya-Uganda Railway ED1 class (and was the only one not to be "americanised" until then). - Sarah and Sophie being included in STS has a somewhat random but interesting origin. From what i recall, CFanatic once said something about them being standard gauge in the show (then known as The Scratchers Railway/TSR) even though they were meant to be standard gauge. And that's the short story of how they came to be in STS. Yer welcome.
