___________________________ What is Amnesia? [section finished] Amnesia is the loss of memories, more specifically, significant loss of memories, not just caused by forgetting over time. It can be its own condition, or a symptom of something else. Unlike how it is preset in media, it is not often forgetting who you are, but instead having trouble remembering some things and also having trouble learning new things. Time and treatment may reverse it, but it could be permanent. ___________________________ How is it Caused? (In Alice specifically) [section finished] For Fable, amnesia was caused in two ways. 1.) Bonking faer head pretty hard, specifically near the area of the brain where memory is stored. 2.) the minor trauma of being captured by twolegs/people, and also of a brief stay in a shelter before moving to a new home. (This will also cause Alice to be a bit more skittish and wary, as the chaos of that was pretty scary for her.). The type/types of amnesia that would have is post-traumatic and a bit of dissociative amnesia. ___________________________ How will it affect Alice? ___________________________ How is it treated/will Alice heal from it? there's no direct treatment that can cure amnesia as it's usually caused as a symptom of something else.
