"AHH!" I scream. "Oh, it's just you." "We're going to be late," she says, a hint of panic in her voice. "It's summer," I reply, throwing a pillow at her. I get up and go downstairs. Fresh, steaming pancakes are on the table. I shove some down my throat. "Someone's in a rush," Mom says. I swing my backpack over my shoulder, and say, "I'm going to the woods," with a mouthful of pancake. When I get outside, I secretly put on my coyote mask and tail and start running. I passed a stranger on the way, and they said, "I hope that you D!E!" and their friend threw dirt at me. I replied, "I'd say it's mutual, except I'm going to forget you exist in about a minute, so I don't actually care." If only I didn't actually care. I finally got to the woods and settled down on my favorite rock. I loved my rock, because it was at the edge of the forest and it overlooked the lake. I went there every day to watch the sunrise.
