[ !!! IMPORTANT NOTICE !!! ] The war has NOT BEGUN and PyroClan is the only Clan that is aware of an approaching war. Azurestar, the rest of SeaClan, and everyone else on the island has no idea. [ END OF IMPORTANT NOTICE ] While we've had wars before in TSS, we've never had mechanics. At least, until now. I've put together in-roleplay mechanics to make the war as engaging as possible and an active presence in the lives of the affected Clans. There are three roles you may sign up your cat in: Invader Protector Watchmen Every Friday, the cats taking up these roles will be switched out to make sure everyone gets a chance to take on a war role. Three cats may be in each role at a time. You may not sign up again after your role cycle is over. Cat's outside of PyroClan and SeaClan are not permitted to participate unless given explicit permission (with link proof) by Azurestar or Trianglestar. SeaClan residents currently exchanging with the Dustrunners are acknowledged as Dustrunners for the time being and may not participate.a Dustrunners residents currently exchanging with SeaClan are acknowledged as SeaClan for the time being and MAY participate. [ INVADERS ] Invaders are tasked with completing battle roleplays. There will be six users per chain (3 per Clan) so make sure you’re comfortable with group roleplays. Invasion roleplays will take place in a specialized studio. Cats participating in invasions will roll 3 different injuries that can be inflicted upon their cat in battle. You must pick at least one for your cat to endure throughout the roleplay, though you can choose to take all three or just two as well. These roleplays need to be completed in order to get a victory for either side. The penalty of failure to complete the invasion chain will be forced infliction of all 3 rolled injuries. The winner of the battle will be randomized after the chain completion and it’ll give a point to whichever side that is. Your cat will not be inflicted with anything more permanent than a torn ear or a scarred flank by default. Temporary injuries such as broken bones and scratches are also possible. If you feel like testing your luck, you may, however, choose to opt in to much more severe or research-requiring injuries, or even death. Please do not panic about "pls no maiming or death!!" in your sign-up form because, as I said, by default you cannot be maimed or killed unless you SPECIALLY REQUEST to be rolled for it. [ PROTECTORS ] Protectors are guarding the borders and camp. Their requirements are to do roleplays with other protectors to build up their camp defense. Every completed defense chain will give a +1 defense to their Clan. Every defense earned pushes the likelihood of your cat's side winning slightly higher when on homefield advantage. Each user in the chain must have at minimum 6 replies (not comments) and you may be rewarded for doing more than the bare minimum. Defenses do not reset each week, so you can continue to stock up on them even when the invasion isn't taking place on your Clan's homefield. [ WATCHMEN ] Watchmen are supposed to be on the lookout for incoming invasions, and inform their Clan. For every invasion that starts, watchmen can roleplay with another cat to warn them and get +1 insight per cat warned (+2 per high rank). Better prepared cats take less damage, so the higher the amount of insight the less injuries your Clan will take when on homefield advantage. Insights do not reset each week, so you can continue to stock up on them even when the invasion isn't taking place on your Clan's homefield.
