He grew up with a clan (similar to Stilts) but he chose to leave rather than Stilts who was forced out. He thought the clan of monsters were boring and were no fun--which he wasn't completely wrong about. He was looking for a group of his own because he needed to show them what a real group looked like. He wasn't always a circus performer, he was once just a disguised monster hiding amongst the humans. Avik really liked the humans, so delicate, arrogant, mean, dumb they were all the traits he found the most. It was so different from the monsters and was interesting to him at the time. Now he is not so fond of them. So, what I was saying, when he was disguised he found the three traveling together as performers and their identities were kept safe easier so he asked if he could join. The group agreed and he was made a suit of his own, he was really liked among the three and he was a natural leader so he became the leader and The Deck of Cards had been doing well ever since.
