{Setting: Space-Time Distortion} Throughout the strange space-time distortion, Sonic the Hedgehog’s allies find chunks of familiar locations where the emeralds are being held. Silver finds himself back in Dusty Desert, a place originally located not far from Soleanna, filled with mysterious ruins and pits of quicksand. The once gorgeous sunrise painted sky has been replaced by an ominous purple, with dark thundering clouds, and the desert has become overrun with monsters. Running low on time, Silver only bashes through the monsters directly in his path, but dodges the others as the sky grows darker and the colors of the world shift. He leaps across moving pillars and heads up a stone path leading towards the top of one of the towering ruins. The ruins are decorated with depictions of people worshiping a griffin like figure. Making it to the top, more monsters appear…but then strange giant orbs also form, with an energy swirling around them. Silver: Huh?! What is that? He feels his feet begin to slide as he’s drawn towards the orbs, and he notices a slit in the center, and the colors swirl in a way that resemble an iris. A monster close to one of the forming orbs gets pulled in, and the second the beast touches it…it’s killed instantly. Even the god’s minions aren’t spared. Silver: ! *uses his powers to help pull himself away, then hurries past a titan as more orbs form, and the eyes appear to follow his moves, but he keeps his focus locked on a glimmer in the distance* On a pillar near the ruins…rests a chaos emerald. Silver leaps up on the platforms of rubble, then flies swiftly for the gemstone. Snapping it up into his hands, he immediately heads back for the altar. Silver: Alright! Sonic, here I come! All of Sonic’s friends and allies fight through Solaris’ monsters and dodge the ominous eyes of Solaris attempting to take their lives…and they all reach the emeralds at the end of their journeys. Together, they hurry back, and bring the emeralds to Elise. Princess Elise gently lies Sonic’s body on the center of Solaris’ altar, and the others place the emeralds around him. The emeralds’ glow illuminates the dark world. Backing away, they give Elise space as she kneels on the ground and prays. Elise: *has her head bowed* …oh chaos emeralds, gems of miracles, please head my call. *tightens her clasped hands* I wish to save this world, I wish to cleanse my father’s sin, and I wish to talk to Sonic…once again! *lifts her head* The emeralds shimmer and begin to float, also lifting Sonic’s body up from the altar, as Elise stands and approaches him. Elise: *smiles at Sonic* …you have given me so many things. Now it is my time to return the favor. Silver: *peering at her as he listens* … Elise: I care not what happens to me, but please heed my voice. *steps closer to Sonic as her tone becomes pleading, placing her hand on his* Sonic, come back! To me…to us! Together, they all watch as Elise gives Sonic a kiss, and witness as her deep love for the hero brings out the power of the emeralds. In a flash of bright light…the on looker’s eyes reopen to see Sonic floating in front of them, glowing gold. Sonic: *gently lands onto his feet and looks up at Elise with a smile* … Elise grins back, but the exhaustion from the relief overcomes her, and she drops to her knees. Sonic carefully catches her and holds her close as she leans against him. Sonic: *softly* Thank you, Elise. Amy wipes away tears of joy as she smiles, while Knuckles excitedly jumps, and Tails wears a bright grin. Silver stands beside them with a thankful smile. Elise beams as she leans against Sonic, then finds the strength to pick herself back up as Sonic helps her. She then takes a step back, then they both look over at Shadow and Silver. Sonic: … *approaches both of them* Shadow uncrosses his arms as he stares back at Sonic knowingly, but Silver at first is in the dark of what the other hedgehogs have in mind…though as Sonic gives him a serious gaze, Silver recognizes the look in his eyes. Sonic nods, then Shadow & Silver do as well in understanding. (#) Sonic raises his hands and stretches them out to the other two hedgehogs, then Shadow and Silver raise their hands too. The golden glow coming from Sonic grows brighter, and begins to surround Shadow & Silver. As it does, Silver feels an immense power coming over his body. Shadow and Silver’s fur turn to a shimmering yellow as their quills raise from the flow of the chaos emeralds’ power. Silver’s aura beams out a gold light from his hands and cuffs. The energy coming off from them causes Elise’s hair and skirt to flutter. Gazing up at the light over their heads together, the three hedgehogs then brace themselves and rocket straight up towards Solaris, vanishing from the sight of their cheering friends and allies in streaks of light.
