I’ve been using Scratch for over 5 years now and have dedicated countless hours to creating projects. However, due to the recent ToS update, I've decided I do not like the way the company is coming with AI, monetization etc. Therefore, I’ve decided to become less active on Scratch. Occasionally, I might release smaller Scratch projects, though they might not meet very good quality. However, I will no longer be making complex projects or updating existing ones on Scratch. I will still maintain an active account of the same username on a different Scratch fork, and it is your choice whether you want to seek me out or not to waste time or effort. (Platform name: the word for coding plus a synonym for "flashlight"). Thank you to everyone who supported me over the years. The past 5+ years on Scratch have been an incredible journey. These are the main reasons I'm stepping back from Scratch: - I no longer have the same amount of free time as I did last year, with demands ramping up - Making big and high-quality projects with clean UIs requires lots of boilerplate code. You have to place the same blocks over and over again, and I'm getting bored of that. - I’ve noticed some challenges with moderation on Scratch, particularly with how advanced projects and complex topics are handled. - Also bugs are unfortunately not being fixed, for example the explore page has been buggy for 4 years now. - AI situation of course. - Membership. While it's been cancelled, I don't feel like I should be supporting to buy a Scratch shower curtain that used to exist in the shop. Thanks for understanding :) https://u.cubeupload.com/Wafflez_Wif_Syrup/WhereImNow.png
