Yesterworld sinkhole event in progress. I'm too tired and I don't want to write. I ligit worked 5am to 1pm. But anyway this is a picture I took super early in the morning and decided to edit and it looked really kreonic and eerie so I kept it : )
The metal rattled like it hadn’t been touched in years — loud, scraping, echoing down the whole row of units. Jackson flinched. Colby stepped back, but only half a step, like he didn’t want to look scared even though he was. The door lifted just enough for the heat inside to spill out. It wasn’t normal heat — it felt charged, like the air after lightning hits too close. My fingers tingled. “Dude…” Jackson whispered. His voice cracked. Inside, everything was dark except for a faint orange glow pulsing from the back corner. Not steady. Not flickering. More like… breathing. Colby swallowed hard. “That’s the surge,” he said, but his voice didn’t sound like his. It was thin. Hollow. The scratching sound came again — but this time it wasn’t distant. It was right behind the glow. Something shifted. Something heavy. Jackson grabbed my arm. “Close it,” he said. “Close it, close it, close it—” But I couldn’t move. My feet were glued to the dirt. My hands felt welded to the metal handle. The glow brightened. A shadow stretched across the floor — long, thin, and wrong. Colby’s breath hitched. “It’s looking at us.” And for the first time that whole summer, none of us had anything smart to say.
