Even with the copper mines in southern Velusia, it isn't enough for the growing telecommunications needs in Velusia. The Kalliodorian Islands, as they have been named by Velusia, have these resources, along with their fertile lands, make it perfect for colonization. In early 1909, the Imperial Navy sends an expeditionary force of several thousand to the main island, setting up Fort Falcon days later. Incursions furtherly into the island take place, with engagements with the natives ending in hundreds of native warriors being killed. Many weeks after the first boots land on the ground, more islands are subjated under Imperial Rule. Fort Falcon countines to act as the FOB for expansion in the region. By next year, colonization is set to take place, with already around 3,500 people being ready to leave their homeland for the islands.
