Y'know what? I don't feel like putting the intro today because I am lazy. Chapter 6: I smile at Onyx. It's.. Almost reassuring having a friend who'll stick up for me.. I lay my head down on the desk and zone out for the rest of math. Then, before I know it, the day is over. When Onyx and I leave our 8th period classes, we look at each other and remember we have detention. We walk with each other to the office, talking about our lives at home. Who knew we both would have queerphobic and transphobic single moms? When we get to the office, the principal, Mr. C, stares at us. "Ah.. Maxism and Elizabeth… What an… Unpleasant surprise… I'll have to call your mothers." I see Onyx's eyes widen in fear. "You okay," I ask. Xey nod in return. Mr. C steps into a separate room. I can hear a female voice, probably Onyx's mom's, yelling and ranting (honestly it was more like complaining) about a disappointment. I can't make out all of the conversation, but I hear that same female voice say, "I don't know why we can't hit kids anymore! It was a perfect form of discipline back then! If I could, I would be hitting Maxsim all the time!" I'm suddenly worried about Onyx. What kind of things do xey have going on at home..? I see Mr. C put down the phone, and dial a new number, probably my mom. Once again, I hear yelling. My mom is gonna murder me for having partly muddy-green hair AND for getting detention..
