001. Tips for songs Contents About Tips Links Policy About hello and welcome to my first project, today I am going to be making tips for making songs. here’s how I like to write songs. I’m too lazy to do a whole coded thing so for today just read! Tips ok so to start I like to do it a bit differently than most artists do. I start with the lyrics as I believe it’s easier than doing the melody first. I’m going to make a song lyric prompt generator soon if you’d be interested in that lmk so I can ping you! ok so when I have the idea I usually make it super specific like just part of a memory or something so there’s a lot to focus on yk? I also usually record my self singing and just go off on random things hoping something can be saved from the garbage disposal and recycled into a song (that’s how I got my first single “Until I’m gone” coming in July. I like to have my guitar or piano with me too and as I’m singing and making my musical magic I like to play chords until i like the progression, I usually never do hahah. then I just play them together and hum a melody and fit the words into the melody. then boom I usually have a pretty ok song start. I usually tweak it a bit for a week or so until it’s perfect. don’t worry if it takes a long time or a little time, every song (and every artist) is different and that’s perfectly ok x Links here’s the section in every project I make that you can find the credits to the people of which I used the code or art or music of (WITH PERMISSION) I would never steal. credits- amazing banner (google) layout (@loveiisdum) idea (ppl on YouTube and @loveiisdum) links “until I’m gone” - not out “I hope he hears this” (album) - not out prompt generator - https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1375748206/ pin - loveiisdum Policy hihi you made it this farrrr! congrats here’s a cookie (/cookieemoji) anywayyy here’s my policy you can obviously use this idea as it’s not my original idea just please do not use my techniques unless of course we have similar in which case it is expected you credit as needed. and if you so choose to use this project layout then you must use credits and ask me first. xx bri
