there was something outside this clan that serendipity'elusion longed for. "longing" was an understatement she dreamt of a land in a clearing, tiny flowers growing outside the dens, moss and mushrooms blanketing the rocks that dappled the crystalline streams like beaming stars. it wanted to be there. it's not like she wanted to leave shadow'clan, but there has been nothing going on for her. her values were nothing like shadow'clan's. she hated fighting, and the darkness was dreary and full of gloom. a shooting star. serena despised going out of shadow'clan when it was all dark. she had work to do, keep the clan fed and patrol the borders. that's all she ever got to do every night. it had never done anything for herself ever. maybe wandering towards wherever the light trailed off wasn't a horrible idea. and when she stopped, nestled against kin of a familiar scent, lay three glowing stars.
