Nobody is going to read all that♥️ "I gave you all I had, Dutch.."
TW: SPOILERS. Dutch, also known as "Tahiti man" (by me and a few others) is the gangs leader in RDR2 and the protagonist in RDR1. Why he becomes the protagonist? Well, it all starts in chapter 4. His stability begins to visibly fracture during the Saint Denis Bank Robbery. Following a devastating failed escape, his decisions become highly reckless. He begins to abandon his longstanding moral codes and lashes out at Arthur and other loyal gang members. 1. Dutch’s dream of living freely as an outlaw in the wilderness was rendered impossible by the rapid expansion of civilization and industrial progress. 2. The tragic death of his long-time confidant and voice of reason, Hosea Matthews, shattered his stability. Furthermore, a severe head injury from a trolley accident in Saint Denis severely impaired his mental stability. 3.Under constant pressure from the Pinkertons and facing failure after failure, his messianic ego made him interpret reasonable doubts and concerns as disloyalty and betrayal
