first artfight let's goooo!!! guys am I cooked going in, I initially had grand plans, wanting to include every character I technically had a reference sheet for. This was a mistake, as that list compiles over forty characters by this point, so I've cut down since. Characters I've featured! (from left to right): Violeta, she/her, my violet-backed starling lady! This is a shared custody oc of mine, and she is from BSaS (Between Sea and Sky), the webcomic I am currently developing with @thespiderdemonthing. Violeta is a performer, famous for her songs about being unlucky in love, but still tragically beholden to its thrall no matter what she does. If only her husbands would stop dying under mysterious circumstances on her... and leaving her lots of money... Oh well! Arythelion(Aryth), he/him, sad leafy sea dragon boy :( Aryth is also from BSaS! He's a sea prince from a more secluded kingdom in the kelp forest, but feels vaguely trapped by the status. It doesn't help that every close friendship he's had has ended brutally and suddenly, for reasons out of his control. Suffice to say, he has good reason to be sad about a lot of things. (Fun fact, he's heard many of Violeta's songs during excursions to the surface, and quite enjoys her songs, even making secret trips to ruins and other abandoned places to sing in private :) ) Sage, they/them, my lemon guy! This is a D&D character of mine, and their lore is actually in another of my projects! Long story short, they and their wife got separated from each other while escaping a cult, so now they're trying to find each other! I'm sure it'll all go well and no unforseen consequences will arise! Hey, who's this Odysseus of Ithaca I keep hearing about? Alydrin, they/any, ourple spider dude! This is a D&D character I played very briefly before the campaign went down, and has since been graduated to Normal OC. I also have a project detailing their lore, though it's very old and out of date, and will not tell you much. Basically, they work under a very fancy eldritch ocean fae guy, who would like to make more deals with mortals so his family will stop calling him a failure, but is not nearly underhanded enough to find success in it. Fortunately for him though, Al is a bit of a con artist. I'm sure nothing will go wrong. Sunflower, they/she, celestial flower person! Sunflower is from a story I'm developing solo, and her lore is very complicated, but you can find tidbits of past iterations on it in past projects of mine :) For reasons (the fallout of the sun's doomed lesbian situationship), she's basically magic radioactive, and can amplify and create magical energy, to an extent. The ability is extra cool in combination with people who can use that energy or control certain manifestations of it, which is why she works in a duo with another one of my characters. Well, it's a trio now that they've been assigned an additional person. Sunflower's pretty good at getting along with new people, though. I'm sure this development won't result in any kind of rivals to friends to dating to doomed to it's complicated to reconnecting to lovers storyline.
