With the Imparat taking control of Voidia, comes the destruction of democracy. The Imparat has a near total hold in the 2 houses they can essentially vote on anything. The Imparat would essentially dissolve the 2 houses claiming the decision as "efficiency". That the 2 house system of checks and balances is too slow. The single house (simply known as The House) would be separated into commodities with a representative. The committees in The House would work together to make decisions. At the center is known as the Director, who makes final decisions and so on (acting like a prime minister). In truth this is simply a method for the Director to puppet the committees. Using the representative (who are suspiciously also seemingly the current directors best friends) to pass whatever they want. The next course of action for the Imparat is to remove every last threat to it. Well it's done mostly (via black mail, buying mercenaries to assassinate political rivals, etc) but they have just 1 threat they cant remove. The emperor. How do they remove the emperor without it looking obvious? In truth this would be easy... In truth its ease is disgusting. The emperor is tired. Yes Yutan is a great emperor but in the end he is tired. The Imparat can do an "internal investigation" (which is just short for we decide what is true or not) and simply declared Yutan mentally unfit for duty. This is... true... Yutan is a traumatized man. He has run Voidia for years now and it has driven him to exhaustion. His only wish is to go to the countryside. In truth Yutan is a child. He was 14 when he took power. For years now he has tirelessly worked to try and steer Voidia to a better future. He created the Parlimentary and Judicial houses, his counsel, he gave more and more freedoms to the Voidian people until Voidia was no longer a dictatorship but instead more accurately a forward thinking nation. The very system the Imparat is using to remove him. The Imparat has put Yutan under their "care" which is in truth more accurate to a house arrest. He has been put in a lavish mansion away from society under watch. Now... What happens next? Simple: "normalization" This is the term the Imparat has used to justify to the Voidian people's sudden changes in Voidia. The Imparat has begun multiple elections. Many of which to elect new leaders. In truth they are being done to legally replace the moderate politicians with extremists. It has justified changing much of Voidia, directly copying the architecture of multiple other galactic nations. It has begun open up trade with other nations. On paper the Imparat is taking Voidia back from its dark era into a new light. In truth these elections are rigged, the opening of trade is done purely to line the Director and his allies with foreign cash, and to keep strict control of Voidias economics away from the people and into them. Even bringing currency into Voidia (though the Voidian people are having a hard time trying to understand how currency actually works). By an extent what the Imparat is doing is similar to what the Hand attempted to do on the Dominion... but arguably more disturbing and horrifying. Because unlike what's happening with the Dominion where the people actually resisted, the Voidian people are willingly giving away their freedoms and freedoms with a smile...
