Chapter 26 Silversong was frantic. She woke Violetpool who had been dozing."Have you seen Sunnykit?!"No is she missing? Silversong ran over to where Lionstep was eating a shrew."Lionstep Sunnykit is missing! Lionstep sprang to his feet."What! Silversong began to wail. "How is she missing I thought you were watching her?"I was but I went to she Roseleaf and when I came back she was gone! Lionstep started asking clan mates if they knew where Sunnykit was and more and more cats joined in the search. "All cats old enough to catch prey join here beneath the High Stone! Spottedstar was calm but she had concern in her eyes. "As you all know Sunnykit is missing and is most likely not in the camp. I want search patrols to be sent out to go look for her. Stoneclaw got to work very quickly in organizing them. "Toadstep you go with Morningflower, Dewpelt and Brightflower and Lionstep you Coalpelt and Mistpelt will go se... Let me help,"Silversong said! "But you need to watch Ashkit and Thornkit? "I will watch them,"Violetpool said let Silversong go with Lionstep. Stoneclaw nodded and Silversong and the rest of the patrol raced out of camp. "We should go by the nursery from the outside and try to pick up her sent,"Silversong said. Lionstep nodded and ran towards the Barrier. When they made it Silversong Started sniffing around and caught the kits cent quickly. Silversong followed it and it led up a hill and around a big rock and through trees and brush till Silversong heard a wail and she knew at once who's it was. She ran faster and came into the same clearing where she had found Coalpelt and she saw in horror Sunnykit flat on the ground and a badger ready to swipe and kill her. Silversong felt hot fury and fear and she ran in the way of the swipe she felt pain and then there was darkness.
