This year the dry season struck unnaturally early and was even hotter than usual, much of our central grasslands have been destroyed by wildfires and drought, we hold a meeting of the great chiefs and decide we must expand our lands to new grasslands. We first expand further south and north in the raiding moons, our parties strike at the southern tribes. The southern tribes are quickly exhausted of raiding material, we sign various treaties with them. In the later months we have significantly expanded north where we find good savannah for our animals to graze. We took the drought as a sign from Hentakra’le our war god that we must satiate his need for blood. We also lost many animals on the trek north and need supplies. Many of the northern tribes submit to us, having herd tails of our ferocity. The number of our clans rises to 32. These new tribes are treated well. We launch raids further north, the villages in the north-east are very rich, and the majority of the villages don’t seem to know how to fight back properly, we take many slaves from these villages. But in some there are great warrior-priests who wield magic staffs with lions trapped in them, they roar and strike our warriors down, we avoid these men.
The larger the arrow the more raiding parties are involved The warrior-priests are Katphursiyan policemen and soldiers, we don’t know what Katphursia is, or what guns are. The central plains are mostly abandoned, we are letting them recover, we will probably migrate back in a couple years.
