↳ ❝ [Form] ¡! ❞ About you: I'm Rosiemistina. My nickname is Rosemist or Rosie. I go by She/they pronouns. I've been roleplaying for around 2 years. I love Warriors cats! I've read the books, roleplayed, and even wrote my own stories. Activity: I'm very active. I always log onto Scartch every single day and check my messages as soon as I log on. Roleplay history: I started roleplaying as Willowfrost of the Beyond the stars WCRP. Then currently to this day as Snailshimmer of the silver shores. And then Owltuft and Foxsong of Zodiacs RP. Cricketheart of Meterology WCRP. Swiftglide of city of ghosts. And Venus of this roleplay group who has recently passed on. However for Willowfrost, Owltuft, Foxsong, Cricketheart, and Swiftglide they have been deleted due to the roleplays being inactive. Kit you're applying for: Magnoliakit! He looks very intresting and I have many ideas for this kit. [Magnoliakit - AMAB - 8 inches when fully grown] Magnoliakit is a dilute calico tom with large paws, soft fur and the same stone blue eyes as his mother. Research required: Folded ears, Klinefelter syndrome Kit's ideas/personality/sexuality/other ideas?: I was thinking Magnoliakit's personality to look like this: Valiant(+), Charismatic(+), Devoted(+), Impatient(-), Petty(-), Prideful(-), Frank(=), Charming(=), Indulgent(=). Basically Magnoliakit has a way with words to get his siblings or cats to go with his ideals. He is very devoted to his family and would go to the dark forest itself in order to help his family or any cat he cares for. However Magnolia kit can break this devotion easily if someone close to him annoyed him in some way(which isn't helped by the way he is pretty frank about this opinion) I was also thinking Magnoliakit looks back on his gender idenity and finds himself aligning more with demi-tom then male. Probaly around his apprentice years. Also when Magnoliakit becomes a warrior he starts to realize he finds toms, she-cats, and other cats pretty and identify as bisexual. My other ideas involve Magnoliakit being such a troublemaker that shows his big wet eyes to his familiy in a "Who me?" message before trying to find away out of trouble. But later on in his life he'll maybe learn that doing puppy eyes at other cats isn't going to get him out of every problem. But that's all at the moment. Roleplay examples: [Magnoliakit || he/him || 1 moon old] "Morningdawn!" Yowled the young kit to his mother. He grabbed the tip of one of her ears in his tiny jaw. "Wake up! Time to play!" He kept at the tugging motion until he lost his grip and tumbled behind his mother. His tiny limbs pawed at the ceiling of the nursery. [Magnoliakit || he/him || 3 moons old] Magnoliakit was much bigger now and knew his mission to try to sneak him and his siblings out to see the Windclan territory was a ambitious goal. "Shush!" he told his 4 other siblings as a warrior walked nearby. "If we're going to be warriors we need to be quiet." he quietly hissed at his siblings. Reaserch into Folded ears and Klinefelter syndrome: (Big disclaimer is that for Klinefelter syndrome I won't go into big detail about the (you know what) about this as it is against scratch policy to mention (you know what) also most of my reaserch involved cat studies on both genetic traits so don't be alarmed if any of the reaserch here is different then typical human studies) Klinefelter syndrome is a result of a zygote recieving a extra X in the cell therefore resulting in cats the 39XXY karyotype. Therefore giving the cat the chromosome XXY. Which is very common in Male calico cats as each X is needed to inherit the two colors needed in a calico pelt. But the reason it dosen't happen for most male cats is becasue they typically have one X. Therefore Klinefelter syndrome is classifed under the Intersex umbrella. And it results in infertility, autoimmune diseases, and weaker mucles in cats. But due to Klinefelter syndrome being a genetic disorder it is uncurable. And with this information in my knowledge I will never call upon this genetic disorder as a personality trait as to quote Writing Intersex Characters, "Don’t just define your character by their intersex traits!" And personally I find it silly that anyone would ever roleplay a intersex character mentiong that they are intersex mulitple times. However for the infertility, autoimmune diseases, and weaker mucles. I will have Magnoliakit deal with weaker mucles and not being able to have biological kittens. But not have any autoimmune diseases as that is a topic I haven't reaserched into and would make having to roleplay Magnoliakit much harder. Folded ears in cats are always caused by Osteochondrodysplasia or known as Scottish fold diesease due to it being a key feature of the breed. But the uniqueness of this genetic mutation is that it is autosomal dominant. Meaning only one copy of the gene is needed in either parent in order for the children to express the trait. (+)
Continued here (+) Osteochondrodysplasia affects cartilage development in the cat. Making the ears appear folded. Magnoliakit is Heterozygous for Osteochondrodysplasia so this will result in joint diease, progressive arthritis in multiple limbs, limping, and abnormal posture and walk. But due to Magnoliakit being heterozygous these issues will take place much later in Magnoliakit's life. However due to this being another genetic disorder it isn't curable. But it can be helped through paink!llers and physical therapy. Magnoliakit will have a pretty normal and good childhood with very little problem walking or running. However as Magnoliakit grows older he's going to find jumping and walking hurt more and more as he ages into adulthood. Probaly coming to the Medicine cats and other higher ranked cats for help. With poppy seeds or looking for other ways to help around camp while accomidating for his leg or arm pain.
